Worcester County 4-H Fair, 2008
Dedicated to Dale Davies

It is with appreciation that we dedicate the 2008 Worcester County 4-H Fair to Dale (Andrews) Davies. The Worcester County 4-H Fair is an important part of the Davies/Andrews Family’s life. Every year, the weekend before Labor Day is committed to the fair.

Following in the footsteps of her dad, Albert “Sonny” Andrews Jr., Dale has been involved in the Worcester County 4-H Fair since she was a child. As an active member of the Merry Milk Makers 4-H Club, she showed her cows and got involved in all the preparations and fun that is so much a part of the Worcester County 4-H Fair.

When Dale had her own children, they too became involved in 4-H from a very young age. For many years, Dale served as the club leader for the Dynamic Dairyers 4-H Club and her children, Ashley, Brandie and Rob, and other club members continued the tradition of showing cows at the 4-H Fair. She currently co-leads the Worcester County 4-H Teen Club with her mom, Nancy Andrews.

Throughout Dale’s involvement with the 4-H Fair, she has always been a tremendously hard worker. She often takes on volunteer jobs that no one else wants. For several years, she coordinated and ran the snack bar for the 4-H Fair doing all the food buying and preparation, not too mention waiting on many hungry 4-Hers and their parents.

Dale also coordinated the overnight housing for several years and currently serves as the co-chair for the Dairy Commodity with her mom, Nancy Andrews, and chairs the Conservation Commodity. A few short years ago, she along with some tractor pull enthusiasts, Dale created the Albert Andrews Memorial Tractor Pull in memory of her grandfather, Albert Andrews Sr. Dale is always working at making the 4-H Fair what it is today

Dale, we salute you and thank you for your contributions and ongoing support!
